WEB

Before I was in the class, The Red & Blue had created a website and built their online platform. My freshmen year however, we discontinued the website. Since, I have worked with my advisor to reintroduce the website and create a model of writing online content at the same time as our print cycle, without prioritizing one over the other.

Website weekly rubric

We developed a system where staffers will have to write an article for each topic at least once over a nine week cycle, and by the end of the nine weeks they will have covered everything. To provide structure, we have a board in the class where each student signs up, and there can't be more than two students covering a single topic. A rubric is provided to students to combat the challenge of them being unsure of how to cover it and to keep the staffers accountable. We have them email their stories each week and award them points on the rubric based off what they turn in at the end of the week. Soon, we will have the website fully launched and updated.
